Jason woke up early and easily won at Frodsham on Sunday.

Captain’s day winner Pete Lyons collapsed, resulting in calls for a drugs test on his sample from last week.

Pete Lyons had a great day, including some NTP’s to take a huge leap up the RC table. Graham and Adrian took advantage of Pete S not being in the medal round, but not as successful as they would have liked. The latest (full) RC table is here.

Pete wins Captain’s day again – this time Frank, the outgoing Captain arranged the event at Lymm and bright sunshine dominated the day.

But Pete won the main event with a stunning net 66, 5 shots ahead of his nearest competitor.

Pete now joins our elite list of back to back winners.

Whilst Pete banged out a par round and had a NTP, Graham and Ade cruised past his score and stole the NTP as well. You can tell when the school holidays have started !! A good Captain’s Day for Ade or Graham could see them steal the RC crown at the last minute, and in their prime, this is a great chance for a major title….. For RC table, see here. Pete extended his lead at the top of the RC table with another victory at Houghwood where a late deluge dented the hopes of John, Frank and Jason. However, Adrian kept up pressure at the top and looks comfortable in 2nd place. For the full results see here, and for the RC table see here.

It was a return to Sutton Hall for the society with Les Holmes joining us for the first time this year.

With the first 4 ball going out and placing respectable scores in the rain, Frank Buckley lead a fight back and won the day.  Pete Sherlock and Ade Levin made reasonable scores in the earlier group to secure 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

Out of the blocks quickly and never looked back. Pete took the spoils with 40 points, Jason was second with a steady 36 and Frank just dodged in to 3rd on a countback. The Ryder Cup table has changed round quite a bit since last game, and whilst Pete is still leading, Ade is now in second, and with a good performance on Captain’s Day he could even take his first ever RC crown.

Hot and sunny and super greens at West Derby. Definitely a course to play again, and whilst not the hardest course, it proved tough enough. Ade yet again played the staring role and is making the best attempt he can to top the RC table. As Ade is in his prime this should worry the rest of the field.

Whilst Ade will be looking for the plaudits, the round of the day was completed by Ray Smith. His best round in the society saw his first ever handicap drop. Top of the Ryder Cup table was retained by Pete, whilst John Shearn had a change of fortune at the top as over golfing took its toll on his aged frame.
