Captains day 2025 – Haydock

A hot and sunny day in Haydock lead to some truly tragic 9 hole scramble scores – with a 2 over par winning

The afternoon had much better scoring with a wonderful win (and longest drive) by Graham Copsey.

Wirral 26th October 2024

A new course for the society. Played on a quiet sunny afternoon. The course is short but with some interesting holes and tight fairways.

John Shearn played the best with a truly massive drive on the back 9. Some considerable amount of sand on the greens with “ripples” made short putting challenging!

Captains Day 2024 @ Mellor

With very windy conditions a great day was had in the hilly fairways (and trees) of a course the society has not visited for over a quarter of a century.

Pete Sherlock won the day and completed his grand slam for the year.

On a warm and humid day at Huyton & Prescot, we played out a medal round on a course low in rough but dense in trees.
