Results
Play was abandoned after 10 holes due to a huge amount of rain – and klaxons calling us off the course.
The brave players were:
With 2 groups of golfers and only one getting past the mobile chicane on the course the 2nd group had a very long round.
On a windy but sunny day – the course turned out to be a lot drier than expected, with some hard ground under feet and under balls!
We played off winter tees but on summer greens, but under winter rules
With bunkers GUR and a wet course- winter golf returned to the society
Ade & Paul K beat Graham and Paul M by one hole
John and Tom beat Jason and Colin 2&1
Luckily for Jason, his crappy golf did not stop his team retaining the RC trophy with a 2.5 – 1.5 victory. Some defeats for the normally strong Jason and Graham and Frank helped the bookies :-). Results are;
Ade beat Frank 1 up (after being 4 up!!)
John halved with Colin
Crooky beat Graham 4/2
Jason beaten by Paul 5/4
