After a couple of very wet weeks – the course was very wet and muddy, with 3 holes out of action – we played 18 by playing 17th 1st and 2nd twice. but all the greens were in order and putting was true!

The first game in the winter league started off in fog at Berrington Hall; the clouds lifted and a sunny afternoon followed. 2 match play games and a 420 3 ball completed the event, the results are as follows:

Some high scoring resulted in the President winning the trophy, on a count back, despite going out of bounds on the first hole and getting an 8 to start with. And Pete Lyons winning the longest drive!
It was a breezy but fine day at Antrobus which resulted in some excellent scoring with only 1 shot separating the top 3 all of whom were under par.

Easy conditions and poor play dominated the day. Too many drivers and not enough strategy perhaps.
After a wet morning the rain held mostly held off in the afternoon, and some tremendous scores were the result.
The Texas scramble was played in wet conditions but the medal in the afternoon was sunny until the thunder and lightening arrived, Paul Kelsey hit a superb 3 under par 69 to claim the title.
