28th May Birchwood Battle

In an unequal battle the reds beat the blues.

The reds (Jase, Mike & John) just a point short of greatness scored 82 points in a best 2 of 3 contests. The blues (Captain, Frank & President) managed to avoid relegation with a score of 75.

Masters 2022

On a links course Jason showed is return to form is complete with a convincing win. With a light splatter of rain and a mild wind, the opportunities to return a good score were there, and a few of the society took them.

We had a lot of fun in the morning with a game of Texas scramble with the winning team coming in at 2 under par.

The AGM at lunchtime voted on 2 proposals.

  1. To give the remaining societal funds to winners of the doubles match-play competition. Overwhelming defeated 1 for 11 against 1 abstention
  2. To put a levy of £10 on the membership at the start of the year. Passed unanimously.

The committee will be reconstructed with Paul Morrissy replacing Pete Sherlock as Captain for the oncoming season.
