5 holes, the end of the winter season came to a wet end as the majority of players called it a day in the rain at Eccleston Park. A sad end for an all weather sporting event.
This means that the winter champion (Frank or Pete) will not be decided until Heyrose at the end of March.

At a cold West Derby today the Sherlock’s tightened their grip on the Winter League. The results were

A very cold day – but coffee and bacon rolls warmed us up for an event at one of our most popular courses – good greens despite the time of year.
Nine of us teed up on a still day at Helsby, wet under foot and a ban on standard trolley wheels.
Pete Lyon laying in bed with his timing all out of kilter with short hours of day light the race was on.
Triumph and Tragedy followed; but Frank managed a superb net 59! surely the round of the year.
